It's finally happened.....

After 25+ years, the powers that be have finally seen the light and decided to give Loverboy their rightful place among the Canadian Music Greats, and induct them into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Below is a little of the four original members speeches as they accept their award.

I'm going to see Loverboy at Silver Springs in Ocala, Florida on March 20th.
It will be the first time I have seen the guys in concert since 2005, when they were here in New Orleans, at Six Flags, just before Katrina hit the area.

I know it's going to be an especially memorable year for the guys; this year will mark Loverboy's 30th anniversary together. There are very few bands who are still together---much less touring---this long.

If you are a long time Loverboy fan, post any pics, stories or whatever else you might have about the band to this blog.

Hello everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days, but I have been under the weather, and I have been doing things with my business. Yesterday I was doing a bridal expo in Baton Rouge.

Anyway, I need some ideas as to what to title my newest blog. It is going to be the place where I showcase my writing; I will be posting a couple of excerpts from my first novel, "Playing With Fire" sometime this week.

I guess I could make it a contest, and the winner who has the best title for my blog, I will send them a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble and a $25 Starbucks gift card as well. How good is that....a good book, and good coffee. It doesn't get any better that that!

So, be thinking about what I should call my blog. I am going to draw a winner on February 28th, and the winner will be posted on this blog. So, good luck to all of you!

Ok, I admit it....blogging is alot of fun! I never realized just how much until I started searching out other mom bloggers, and reading what they have to say.
And reading their blogs, it has opened up the dam of creative juices and gotten them flowing non-stop; where they end up, and how it comes out....well, only time will tell.

I have found so many great blogs, and joined some really great sites. I have alot of ideas planned for my blog, and I hope everyone will join me for the ride.

Hopefully I will be posting every day; but with hurricane season looming over us until the end of November, and hurricane Ike threatening the Gulf Coast right now, we never know when we'll have to run.
